KIFF: charting your wizard's history is as easy as dipity dopity do. 3/12

This week we won't focus as much on the game play of Wizard101 but on at least one way to write your character's biography.

Wizard101 doesn't require its players to keep bios on their characters. It's a children's card game based game after all. Kids generally don't like to have to keep time-lines or journals on virtual characters.

One website that could help is http://www.dipity.com/  Dipity lets users create timelines about absolutely anything. The dates range from 9999BC to 9999 AD

You just input the date an event happened, and any video/pictures that go along with that event. It's similar to the time-line on Facebook.

For example, if I were to create a timeline of my first wizard Jessica Starweilder, lvl 70 Storm.

event #1: Started playing Wizard101.
event #2: Jessica Starweilder is born...

 I would keep adding events pertainent to that wrizard's life. The most current event would be event #X Starwielder rescued the students and finished Zafaria (the most current ingame word).

While not as fun as writing a fanfic or diary about your character. Dipity's timelines can show a glimpse of their life.

    Hi Jessica. Great suggestion with Dipity. I really love that site. I use it to create timelines for courses and to teach things like the history of topics all the time. It's fun to create as well (although it can be a bit time consuming).

When it comes to the Power Rangers,

The Zordon fanpage on Facebook is holding a contest and it's to answer the question What emotionally attached you to the Power Rangers show and Why do you love it so much? back to campus

Warning this blog is written from the point of a very stressed out older college student, and might not be read by viewers. This blog might be a little ranty at times. Well, it's back to campus time again and already I think my academic career is in jeopardy. For one thing, I'm waitlisted for two classes, and no one has dropped from the classes. I'm waitlisted for "Basic Advertising Copywriting" and "Intro to Media Production" I'm at positions 1 & 6 respectively. I'm waiting to buy the books until after I am enrolled in the classes. I'm currently in Portfolio review and Philosophy of Science and I don't understand how the either/or system works. The classes start at 12:30 pm. (a little over an hour from now, as of this writing) I currently have 4 units, so I don't have fin aid. Which is a BIG problem and why I'm desperately waiting to get in to the classes.
