Warning this blog is written from the point of a very stressed out older college student, and might not be read by viewers. This blog might be a little ranty at times.
Well, it's back to campus time again and already I think my academic career is in jeopardy. For one thing, I'm waitlisted for two classes, and no one has dropped from the classes. I'm waitlisted for "Basic Advertising Copywriting" and "Intro to Media Production" I'm at positions 1 & 6 respectively. I'm waiting to buy the books until after I am enrolled in the classes. I'm currently in Portfolio review and Philosophy of Science and I don't understand how the either/or system works. The classes start at 12:30 pm. (a little over an hour from now, as of this writing) I currently have 4 units, so I don't have fin aid. Which is a BIG problem and why I'm desperately waiting to get in to the classes.
I hope I pass Portfolio Review because if I do, I'll drop the media arts major. If not, then I'll switch from majoring in graphic design to media arts. I'm only 21 units away from graduating in either major.
Philosophy of science is the final part of my "pathway" (general ed), and from what I've read it's perfect for anyone who wants to be an attorney, because the papers have to be written as arguments.
well, anyway another thing that's stressing me out is this...
My laptop is broken, it has to be taped up on the hinges because the hinges that connect the two parts of the laptop are so weak that if it's propped up it'll work. If not the monitor will flip backwards. Two nights ago as I taped up my laptop the wireless adapter broke, and I still haven't had the chance to fix it. *sigh*
unfortunately, that means I can only use my kindle fire or my 3DS for internet connections. I tried to connect to the net on campus, and it's not working.
I've needed a new laptop since last semester, and now it's really obvious I need one. So far, no fin aid = no new computer. I don't care if a new computer is Windows 8 or not, all I need is a new laptop that can use Adobe Creative suite products, play games like the Sims 3 and Wizard101, use microsoft office, among other things a huge hard drive is a plus.
so far, nothing is happening on any fronts.
