Inside my mind

I just woke up from a nightmare. I was at an anime convention, cosplaying as Miles Edgeworth. Unfortunantly the skit goes horribly wrong, someone asks if I were in love with Phoenix or something and I say in an imitation of Edgeworth, "Court is now in session for the trial of... if that is alright with you, Your Honor" I glanced at my mom who was cosplayng as the Judge. She nods and then someone from the auedience is furious and shoots at me. I'm hit, but I run. I'm in full Edgeworth costume, cravat included and I'm running down stairs, being chased by the gunman. Some of the doors are locked and as I run into them there is a buzzer sound. I am able to get passed them and escape, but I'm terrified and bleeding.

What's one thing that is both scary and exciting at the same time? I just want to give a shout out to Madoushi and Bomber. Madoushi for the livestream and Bomber for the translations. I have to admit that this last case (5-5) was amazing. I was spellbound from when the livestream started, till the end. My only wish for AA5 that didn't come true was an in-game appearence by Maya Fey . It doesn't matter what the character's English names are, I'm still calling Colgate Zeus. (Hopefully I can quickly pass the scenes where this Greecian Statue man-thing smiles.)  Super Saiyan (look at the pose, Seriously)  Space Larry   Cap'n Segway. Can't wait to play this game in English.

WARNING: This blog entry will contain spoliers of the new Ace Attorney game that was just released in Japan Read At Your Own Risk. Capcom, Capcom Crapcom, Why am I honestly not surprised at what you've done with Dual Destinies. You've misnamed your new game, not only that but you've wasted an opprotunity to use some of the beloved characters.  Seriously, it seems like the game uses Phoenix as a way to rope in the older fans.    Congratulations, you've once again suceeded in luring your fans into something that could be awesome, and then you laugh in their face and say Nope! You're now playing the sequal to Apollo Justice and Phoenix now  takes Mia Fey's role in the game.  Oh, this reminds me of a little game called Megaman Legends 3,  If I'm not mistaken you EVEN LET THE FANS HAVE INPUT, which was awesome btw, but you promised that the game was going to be released based on how well the prototype did. The big question is: Will Maya Fey return in Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney- Dual Destinies ? Yesterday Capcom held a live streaming event at E3 in which they discussed DD. As the chat was moving at lightning speeds, the fans had a few questions on their minds. Will Detective Gumshoe come back? Why wasn't AAI2 localized? Will we get to play Prof Layton vs Ace Attorney? and the most important one Where is Maya? Sadly, Mr. Scruffy Detective, you didn't make the list. No Instant Noodles for you. There is a new detective Det Fulbright. And the new prosecutor, Simon Blackquil, who I swear looks like a love child of Cruella De Vil and Seto Kaiba. (well, the two characters are certainly old enough considering this game takes place in 2027) What did he do to end up in the slammer? Capcom was tight lipped about Maya's return, but since Pearl Fey has been confirmed, it isn't a far stretch to assume Phoenix's former assistant/Master of the Kurain Channeling Technique

First of all, let me state that this game looks very intriguing and I can't wait to add it to my 3DS. All I can hope for is that Capcom DOESN'T treat this game like it treated Rockman DASH 3 (Megaman Legends 3)  Yesterday I woke up and while browsing the Ask Ace Attorney blog on Tumblr and on a post someone asked the mod if they had seen this   the trailer for the English version of Ace Attorney 5.  I had to watch it a few times to realize that I'm not dreaming. This game is coming to the 3DS! Okay, I went to see my advisor about the results of the review & well. I'm trying to hold back my tears. the resulting scores served only to confirm the worst of my fears. The judges with no frill set, think I have no skills yet. I feel like I've been hit in the face. why does it hurt that I've failed the review? I've started a new blog just a few moments ago. it's called  Journey of an Eclipse Chaser  and it will kinda be like a memoirs of my time as an eclipse chaser. I wish I could be one of the people who travel the world just to see an eclipse, but money is a huge deterrant from traveling to all points of the globe, BUT if the umbra of the moon just so happens to travel over my location... it's been a difficult semester, and I've made a decision. I'll wait 1 semester before retrying cdes 230. the reason is that I hopefully will (during that semester) create pieces that will impress/wow the judges. If however I end up getting the same results, then I'm switching my major to Media Arts. I've been @ CSU Chico long enough & now it's time to get serious. right now I should finish this semester, focusing on completing my remaining classes with satisfactory (in my oppinion C+ or higher) grades, and that includes the monster known as BIO 103. Human Anatomy. The reason why I'm blogging about this is that it's time to stop lollygaging and floundering in the educational system. For me anyway.

I'm just going to be honest here, I love going to them. They are so much fun! One of my hobbys is cosplaying, & I'm pretty good. I consider myself an amature at cosplaying, but I enjoy doing it. I try to choose a character and cosplay them to the best of my ability. it's like I have a split personality. In RL I'm shy and seem to be really stand offish, I hate crowds. AT conventions it's a different story. I cosplay, I take pictures of other cosplayers, and just take in the experience. Saturday was the 2013 Chico MiniCon and it felt like it lived up to its name. It was a Miniature Con and my roomie and I cosplayed as Diego Armando and Phoenix Wright OBJECTION!!! As was stated in my last post, about the death of Doug Swallow, I'm going to be watching the case again. this time however I'm watching them at the times stated in the game itself. for instance, at 9:40 am Mia Fey and Marvin Grossberg spoke with young Phoenix Wright . I have a tab open to youtube with that video paused at the time stamps. right now I'm waiting until 10 am to play the next few minutes of the case. the times are 9:40 am Mia & Mr. Grossberg consult with young Phoenix Wright 10:00 am - the trial begins 11:52 am - court is in recess/recess ends 12:13 pm - Dahlia takes the stand 3:16 pm - the trial ends. it takes approximately 2 hrs without breaks to play  just this case alone. Yesterday my mother and I (both Ace Attorney fans) took my laptop and went to the park to play this case and enjoy the nice weather. ok, scratch the part about watching this case, the internet acted up again, so I'm playing it over.

On this day in Ace Attorney History                            Rest in Peace Doug Swallow (??-??-1993 - 4/9/2013) If any of my readers know much about Phoenix Wright, they'll know that the games take place in the latter half of the current decade. Today, just about an hour ago(3:00pm), the minor character Doug Swallow was killed. This case is called Turnabout Memories and it is the first case in Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations.   Phoenix was arrested and charged with the death of Doug Swallow. However he wasn't the murder. It's up to Mia Fey to prove her future understudy's innocence.  To honor this character's memory, I was playing that case.  Turnabout Memories    in which we meet one of the most diobolical vilians in the game. Miss Dahlia Hawthorne. 

Before we dive into the meat of this blog, let me complete some housekeeping. The Japanese Animation Club's MINICON is in a couple of weeks, and next week is Testers worst nightmare. THE REVIEW I'M DREADING IS NEXT FRIDAY APRIL 5TH 10-Noon. I hope I do well. Also Kudos to Amazon.com because my Power Cord for laptop came on time & it works perfectly. Well, that's over with... One of the series we've watched in Anime Club is "Kimi Ni Todoke" a series revolving around the characters of Kuronama Sawako & her love Kazehaya Shouta. I do get the feeling I'm one of them. Yesterday I had a human anatomy lab in the evening, and as cool as the sub was, I was drained of energy afterward. Lecture was even worse. It's kinda weird though. The theater the class is in, is the same theater that I performed in with the concert band. I hope they're not playing Declaration Overture by Claude T Smith this semester. First of all, let me say, Happy 2013! We survived my 29th birthday! Nothing happened on 12/21/12 and we can relax.
